Alanis performed twice an acoustic show, the Bridge School Benefit. She was invited for Neil Young, who is also the promoter of the concerts. Besides London, No pressure over cappuccino, Gorgeous and All I really want, Alanis showed for first time to the audience "Pray For Peace" She also played another Beatles cover: Norwegian Wood (the bird has flown). Other bands that played besides Young and Alanis were the Smashing Pumpkins, the Dave Mathews band, Metallica and more.
Reprise released the first cd! For further information about the concert and the cd, click here .

Without drummer and second guitar?
Taylor Hawkins left Alanis' band (in a friendship was ;) to join the Foo Fighters replacing William Goldsmith in the world tour. (Beginning of 1997). It seems Taylor will not come back with Alanis after the Foo Fighters tour.
Jesse Tobias also left the band but I don't know what he is going to do.
We know that Glen Ballard founded his new label called Java Records. It's seems either Ballard and Morissette are in no hurry to release a new record...
Well, it's seems it'll be finally out in the '98.
Alanis said she wanted to start to write fresh stuff... According to the Inside Out web site (Becca) Alanis entered in the studio de 1st of November!!!.
Will songs like Can't not or king of intimidation be in the new album?, I hope it, because songs like No pressure over cappuccino or Can't not really deserve to be in an album. It will be out someday in 1998! :))
Alanis entered in a competition called Mike & Rob's A Day At The Beach in Ventura, Canada, under the name of Nadine Burke. LOL, click here.
August 1997
Now... did you think that Alanis was on vacations?
Nooo!
According to what Andrew said Alanis's not vacationing, she's actually using all that time to vote under aliases and keeping JLP on the charts. "Not because she's greedy, mind you - it's because she's really a prankster at heart, and she wants to see how many people will be surprised when they see she's still on the charts."
Jagged Little Pill was the highest reentered in the internet charts voted by people weeks ago!! (or months.. depending when I put the page) And Mary Jane in the list of the 1000 most aired songs on the radio.
Certainly the last song I was expect to appear... one of my favourites...and one of the last with chances to be played by radio radio.. Who would have thought..
A South American Coffee
"When any artist writes anything I don't think they expect the people immediately love and understand it, but I'm happy, you know, it's good to connect the people, regardless the language warrior." October 1996...(ok, this WAS a somenthing new when I was making the page! ;). <-
She also said, "I used to act a lot when I was little and I'm definitely going to do it again", "For two reasons, one I haven't acted for so long and it scares me and I want do that because I'm afraid of it again and the other is that, this last year have been so much about me, and just talking about myself and singing about myself so much, I would like to take on a role or getting a character that requires a lot of me but isn't about me, you know, it would be nice to do that."
I read in a magazine that Alanis' bag was robbed during the Tibetan Freedom Concert (1 June 1997). It's seems that she also offered a reward (free tickets for all her concerts) for the bag that carried some tapes with unreleased stuff and one video tape. Then I read on the net that the bag was delivered to the original owner anonymously.
"About $8000's worth of my equipment, video tapes of the tour, cassettes with half written songs on them. Fuck. I don't write a diary because I thought -and this is the ironic part - somebody might steal it. So I thought it would be safer to film everything. It's thrown me into a weird, dark funk because I don't understand why anyone would do that. It's confirmed my already neurotic fear for my own safety. It hasn't always been founded, but little things like this keep happening, much to the chagrin of those around me who are constantly trying to convince me that I'm safe. This doesn't help their case very much". Q Magazine.
